Hair-o-Scope | Scorpio

Reading that title, I'm sure that you will most likely be completely unaware as to what I'm actually talking about; in fact you may think I've gone completely crazy. But I haven't. In fact I was contacted by the people over at Madison Reed, a hair care company who specialise in permanent colour, asking whether I would like to write a post about my views on their Hair-o-Scope - apparently the traits of each zodiac sign says something about your hair too!

You can check out Madison Reed's hair dye advisor page HERE! You'll be able to find out what tones will work well for you by taking a short quiz!

Although I'm not necessarily someone who believes in everything to do with astrology, as I'd never quite heard of anything like this before, I was pretty intrigued. So I thought why not give it a go...this could somehow be true and may even tell me something about my hair I never knew. So I sent my zodiac sign over to them and they responded with my own Hair-o-Scope. From that I then needed to make decisions as to whether I agreed or disagreed with the assumptions.

Clearly I am a Scorpio (my birthday is November 22nd - although I am strangely a Sagittarius in the USA), so this is the chart I was sent over. I won't lie, I was expecting a little more information on the Hair-o-Scope; it just seemed a little too brief for me to make many judgements off it. With this said, Madison Reed do have a full length Hair-o-Scope which makes a couple of additional points. You'll also be able to check yours out here!

Free-flowing and soft; a Scorpio's hair on a good day. I guess I would agree with this. On the odd occasion I'm having what I believe to be a good hair day, my hair feels lighter and in a sense just flows nicely in the wind. As I pretty much always wear my hair down it's pretty easy to tell whether my hair feels "free-flowing". It somewhat feels soft, but I always tend to have problems with the roots which a lot of the time never really feel that soft. But I guess on a good hair day this is basically what my hair would be like.

The brilliant hair tip which the Hair-o-Scope has to offer me is to "invite the world in with brighter tones". This is something I actually think of doing every now and then. I sometimes have that urge to dye my hair but then always back out because I'm scared that it will just turn out disastrous. But I do know that if I was to ever dye my hair in any way, that I would opt for a lighter/brighter tone, such as a lighter brown or a blonde. Especially since as a child I was actually very, very blonde, (with my hair naturally darkening to a dark to medium brown colour over the years), I know that in some sense, I would be able to pull the lighter shades off. If this tip is referring to brighter colours in terms of pinks, blues etc. I can assure you I will NEVER be doing that!

One thing that they also mention on the full length Hair-o-Scope is that when I feel more reserved, a Scorpio should tie their hair into a loose braid. Although I do love how braids look, I'm personally not one to put the effort in and all in all I don't feel that my hair is necessarily suited towards braids either. I do love a good fishtail braid and it's pretty much the only one I would ever wear, but I would hardly wear it when I'm slightly more reserved. When it comes to just a generic braid it's pretty much a no go for me. As my hair is super thick most braids just tend to be far too chunky. Plus add the fact that I have some layers as well and my hair just tends to fall out of it here and there.

Do I agree with my Hair-o-Scope...I guess so. I don't know if this is just me being really fussy but I would've liked it to be a bit more informative - it's a little hard to make a judgement over these two sentences. It maybe would've been more useful if the Hair-o-Scope had expanded into a few more sections, such as identifying any particular problems with your hair or because they specialise in permanent hair colour, there could be recommendations as to what specific colours/tones would suit you if that's a possibility.
Maybe because I'm not an overly astrological person I just didn't quite get it.

What do you think of the Hair-o-Scope?

Lots of Love
