xBeautyMagic Loves Fanny Crown Dresses!

Just a few days ago I was contacted by Fanny Crown, a formal dress online retailer - I know, if you live in the UK then it's probably a pretty strange name to you! Anyway, Fanny Crown offer a great range of dresses for all formal occasions and at fairly reasonable prices. They were contacting me about a new blogger competition that they have going on at the moment where I would need to show how I would style a particular dress from their site, so I popped over to their site to see what they have on offer.

Disclaimer: I am in no way being sponsored by this brand to write this post - I have chosen to do so myself and all views expressed here are my own.

I have created a look that focusses on the colours red and gold, as I feel that these compliment each other extremely well. Also, this look will be great for many different formal occasions such as a fancy dinner, ball or even a prom!

For this look, the dress that caught my eye was the Darling Lace Ruby Designer Dress (£181.09). As soon as I saw this dress it reminded me of the many gorgeous red dresses that Selena Gomez has worn, so I just had to chose it. It is a beautiful red dress which is covered from head to toe in lace and sequins. I think this dress looks extremely classy and I personally love the cut of the dress, especially with the capped sleeve. This dress is by far one of the most beautiful dresses that I have EVER seen and it is only a fraction of the price of many designer dresses out there!!

To accessorise the dress, I have chosen gold shoes, gold earrings and a gold clutch. The shoes are Christian Louboutin Iriza Strass Crystal Pumps (£395.00) - a little out of my price range, but oh well, a girl can dream! I thought that these would help to add an extra little sparkle, however they would probably be concealed by the dress anyway, so you could really wear any shoes you wanted.
The clutch I have chosen is the Tory Burch Fret Clutch (£262) - again a girl can dream! I am a massive fan of box clutches in general, so this one really stood out to me!! I love how simple the detail of the clutch is and think that it will really compliment the dress overall.
And as for jewellery, I only chose a simple pair of earrings, the Pyramid Triangle Stud Earrings from BodyCentral (£2.40) - SUPER AFFORDABLE!! As I felt that as this dress has a lot of intricate detail to it, I didn't want to distract from this with too much jewellery which is why I only chose a simple pair of earrings, however a simple ring or bracelet could be a nice alternative instead. In this case, a necklace was out of the option for me because of the gorgeous lace around the neckline, so nothing needs to be added there or else it'll look too cluttered!

For hair, I think that a nice braided updo will do the trick - as I LOVE braided hairstyles! This will mean that none of the dress will be covered with hair, so the beautiful sleeves and lace neckline will be on show for everyone to see!

For the makeup I have chosen to go with a fairly simple look with natural eye shadow and a little eyeliner, however there will be a pop of colour with the Nars Semi Matte Lipstick in Jungle Red (£18.50) - which also matches the dress!! For the nails, I chose this beautiful gold, Mac's Fierce Entrance Nail Lacquer (£11) in order to match the other gold pieces that I have chosen with this look!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and maybe it gave you inspiration if you have a formal occasion coming up soon! Do you like this look? Which is your favourite dress??
