Review // Faith in Nature Shampoo & Conditioner

For the longest time, I have been struggling a lot with the condition of my hair - I have a lot of it, and keeping it healthy is a struggle. I personally have quite normal hair, however my roots tend to get quite oily, and the only product which seems to work for me is a shampoo and conditioner which costs in the region of about £25! Now I honestly can't be spending this much on these products, and whilst it does offer some support with my greasy hair, I'm always on the lookout for new products that can do the job, at a much more purse friendly price. This is where Faith in Nature comes in.

Faith in Nature is a beauty company that specialise in hair care, body care and skin care, amongst many other things. Some of the most incredible things about this company is that every single one of their products are manufactured within the UK and made from all natural (many organic) ingredients, meaning no nasty chemicals that many products we use contain! The brand is also cruelty free, being one of the first ever companies to be awarded the 'Leaping Bunny' mark which you will see on each and every one of their products. These two things together also mean that if you're on the lookout for new vegan products, this brand is definitely suited towards you - their products are even registered with the Vegan Society.
Now to the actual products. I was recently contacted by the lovely team over at Faith in Nature, asking if I would like to review some of their products. After having a nosey at everything they had to offer, I picked out the Grapefruit and Orange Shampoo* and Conditioner* to try out. I picked this specific one out not only because the smell of it sounds absolutely gorgeous, but mainly because it is targeted specifically towards my hair type, normal to oily hair. There are many other options though, as Faith in Nature sell many scents including Coconut, Aloe Vera and even Chocolate!
Obviously when my products arrived, I had to open them ASAP. The shampoo and conditioner both come in a good sized 400ml bottle, however for any of you wanting just a little bit more for your buck, they even sell 5 litre bottles; maybe a better choice for any hairdressers out there! I then had to have a little whiff, and honestly, first impressions weren't incredible. I was a little underwhelmed in all fairness. However my opinion changed as soon as I used the product for the first time, and it really leaves a lovely fruity scent that lasts on my hair for at least two days!
So, on the first day that I used these products, I did quickly encounter a couple of small problems. I found that the shampoo was very runny and quite difficult for it to lather (which my mum made very clear she is not a massive fan of). I'm not sure if this is because Faith in Nature do not use the harsh chemicals that other brands use, but I'm aware that this could be the case. However, with a little extra product, I do find that it lathers up very nicely. I did also seem to find that whenever I use the shampoo, I always get a small knot at the back of my head. Maybe this is down to how I put the product through my hair...but I haven't exactly changed that. However once I've applied some of the conditioner, this isn't exactly a problem.
The real test comes into play the next morning, when my hair is dry and I can fully see the condition of it. I can honestly say that my hair has never felt so healthy in such a long time. Since using these products I've had multiple people comment on how nice my hair actually looks (which I'm sure you'll see in future posts or currently on my YouTube channel). After a full day at university, my hair is usually in a terrible state, but since using these products, my hair is almost as silky soft as it was in the morning. I've also been able to mess around with it a little more, as previously if I'd mess around with my hair, the roots would be greasy in no time.

Although you do need to use a lot more product than the usual shampoo, I would highly recommend both of these products. Both the shampoo and conditioner cost £5.50 each for 400ml, and although it's a little pricier than many other products on the shelves, it is totally worth it - especially as your buying products from a brand that has such incredible values. If you're struggling with the condition of your hair, whether you have oily or dry hair, don't cross Faith in Nature off your list. Give their products a go!

    1. They really are! I reckon this would be a good option for you considering the only oily part of my hair is my roots!
