Until this past year, I'd personally never been a massive watch fan. I'm that one person who would rather check her phone rather than use a watch to check the time, meaning that I never quite found a use for them. However, throughout the last six months I've discovered a new found love for watches, and whilst I may not wear them completely for the practical purpose, watches for me are a great accessory to add a little more detail to your outfit.

But I'm always one for out trying new and different things, particularly when it comes to fashion, so I jumped at the chance to get one of these unique watches and I'm pretty glad I did!

I received the Frankie 35 in Zebrawood & Champagne*, a beautiful mid-tone wood with a bright, striking face. Priced at $179, this watch may be more of an investment for many us, but definitely one that shouldn't be overlooked. In fact, their watches range in price from $129 to $295, but luckily JORD provide free shipping worldwide! One thought to keep in mind however is customs. Dependent on your country's customs policies, if you're outside of the USA, you could see yourself paying a slight fee. In my case, I ended up paying £13, which honestly wasn't too bad when one, I expected a fee anyway, and two, I have seen people pay significantly higher customs for cheaper products.
Anyhow, the watch itself comes sitting on a soft cushion in the most beautiful wooden box - I can most certainly see myself keeping the box along with the watch for many, many more years to come! Also included is a cloth and some natural finishing oil as well, to keep your watch in tip-top condition! JORD additionally provide watch sizing, as well as watch and box engravings, perfect if you want to add a little more personalisation or make it that little extra special if you're instead giving the watch as a gift.
The face of the Frankie 35, whilst significantly smaller compared to the many other watches I own, is a round, simple and classic design which to me screams high-end; perfect when I'm looking for something a little more minimalistic, but is still quirky in its own right when combined with the lovely wooden strap.
The stunning mid-tone wood feels very high quality, is extremely lightweight and works perfectly with my fair skin tone. It is most certainly the main selling point of their watches! In fact JORD use a variety of unique woods from across the globe, including Acacia, Sandalwood and Bamboo, amongst many more (including the Zebrawood used in this watch) to create many special and modern designs to suit each and every individual. I was also able to get my watch sized beforehand using their online wrist sizer. Therefore if you're someone who's always struggling to find a watch that will perfectly fit your wrist, their watches may be a suitable choice for you. My wrist measured a little over 17cm, however I chose to have mine sized to 18cm as I much prefer for my watches to be a little oversized. In this case, the watch fits exactly how I like. It is then fitted with two secure stainless steel clasps.
